A data set developed by the Indiana Business Research Center, based on quarterly ES-202 (aka Covered Employment & Wages) data collected from employers by Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

Indiana, MSAs, regions, and 92 counties

Frequency
Quarterly, with a lag of approximately three quarters

Timespan
2001 forward under NAICS. Earlier data (1994:3 to 2000:4) are SIC based.

Revisions
None. These are essentially counts of employers and jobs.

Variables
Establishments, employment, and covered payroll with average weekly wage by sector, at the 3-digit NAICS level.

Data source
The specific source for these data is the Indiana Business Research Center, Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.

Data facts
The establishment counts for the STATS Indiana Covered Employment & Wages (CEW) dataset will be lower than the counts of the CEW Program of the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Establishments that report zero employment and wages for the quarter are not included in the STATS Indiana dataset.

Disclosure
Disclosure rules are applied to these data. Data groupings that contain fewer than three unemployment insurance accounts are confidential and must be withheld. If there are three or more UI accounts, the data are withheld if one account comprises 80 percent of the group employment. And the value of withheld data may be be discernible through simple calculations of other released data (known generally as the secondary disclosure rule).
