About Metropolitan Statistical Areas

Metropolitan (MSA) and micropolitan statistical areas are delineated by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Updates are made each year based on the most recent Census Bureau population estimates. Unless otherwise noted, the data on STATS Indiana reflect the most current definitions.
