The Index Explained: Values over 100 indicate families have more than enough income to afford house payments. This index uses similar method as the National Association of REALTORS®, which measures how well a family with a median income would be able to afford a mortgage on an average home. The data for Indiana and this region are for the period of Aug 2013 - July 2014
