About the Current Employment Statistics (CES)

Monthly nonfarm job and wage estimates produced under a Federal-State cooperative program between the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development (IDWD). The BLS develops the concepts, definitions, and technical procedures used in the preparation of these estimates, which are part of the Current Employment Statistics (CES) survey to collect data each month on employment, hours, and earnings from a sample of 7,000 Indiana nonfarm establishments. Industry data are NAICS-based.
