Nonprofits

Nonprofit organizations make significant contributions to quality of life and are a major force in the state’s economy. Their increasing size and political relevance have put a premium on securing good data on the sector.

Nonprofit Database

This is a single, comprehensive listing of nonprofit organizations in the state— a joint product of the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy, the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Indiana Business Research Center as part of the Indiana Nonprofits: Scope and Community Dimensions Project.

Nonprofit Employment Dynamics

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics provides research data on employment and wages for the nonprofit sector at the national and state levels since 2007. Selected counties and MSAs are also available for the most recent years.
